Fossils Uncovered began in 1990 in an effort to pay for my hobbies (fossil excavation in particular).

We've been to a number of different rock and fossil shows and have seen some very impressive specimens. Nice for scientists but most people I know don't have a place to put a slab of rock. That's when I hit on the idea of letting the beauty of the fossils express itself as art. All of my pieces are framed and matted and are ready to hang in almost any decor. I try to use colors and textures that enhance the natural beauty of the fossil, but can do special request (to match a particular room).

As an investment, the purchase of a fossil makes you the owner of a limited natural resource. Because the process of erosion continues to destroy fossil deposits, only through mankind's efforts will these natural art works be preserved. Although there is no way to tell how long nature will allow us to find these fossils, your investment helps ensure that some of these fossils will be preserved.

Each fossil is carefully excavated and prepared with special equipment and artistic skill allowing you to appreciate the special beauty of nature. We want to share our excitment of the world's past with the people of the present so that this unique piece of history can be appreciated in the future.
